Selection:
Choose firm, smooth, plump, round tomatoes that are heavy for their size and uniform in colour. Okanagan Hothouse™ Beefstake Tomatoes are vine ripened and hand picked; they meet or exceed Canada grade standards

Sound, mature, well-shaped, minimum diameter 1½" (3.8 cm)
Canada No.1 XL Minimum diameter 2" (7.3 cm)

Canada Commercial

Fairly well shaped, minimum diameter 2½" (6.4 cm)

Canada No. 2

Not badly misshapen, minimum diameter 1½" (3.8 cm)
Care & Storage:
Store Okanagan Hothouse™ BeefstakeTomatoes at cool room temperature, 55°F (13°C) with relative humidity 85-95%

Never store tomatoes in the refrigerator, as quality, flavour and texture will quickly deteriorate

Tomatoes were first cultivated in Peru. The Spanish introduced tomatoes to Europe and used them as decorative garnishes; it wasn't until the 16th Century that the Florentines ate tomatoes
